Long time no update. (Sorry, it’s not hyde’s interview… I haven’t started that yet and I’m super busy with school ><) Just have this small bit, from one of many VAMPS radio appearances. I couldn’t listen to it obviously, but this was on their site so I did a quick and dirty translation. Go to the site and you will also be able to see a photo. (See HYDE’s new blonde hair?) Q: Do you come to Shibuya?
“[I (or possibly we?)] walked around here with Acid Black Cherry’s yasu-kun looking for shoes.”

Q: Please tell us a devil side of each other.
HYDE: Apparently, he was really scary in the past. Even though he has a laid-back image now.
K.A.Z: He’s like a mischievous kid. More of a sadistic side rather than devil side. When he speaks during lives, he teases our fans.

Q: Which iPhone app do you recommend?
“The one that I find most important is the mic that is installed by default. I use it for composing. I bought a voice recorder for composing purposes but it was difficult to use. The iPhone one is easier to use and the sound is good. So there’s a lot in there. I just take this with me and go to the park to write lyrics.”

Q: Today was also the release date for live DVD “VAMPS LIVE 2009″! What kind of DVD is it?
“It contains the tour final from last year and also has a documentary. It’s worth seeing.”

K.A.Z: I’m K.A.Z.
HYDE: Umm we’re composing right now,
K.A.Z: Yes.
HYDE: Well, I’m the one composing, but, umm, it seems we are going overseas for recording soon.
K.A.Z: Yes.
HYDE: The most troublesome part about going overseas is [not having] the washlet.
K.A.Z: (Nods)
HYDE: Also, umm, Japanese food.
K.A.Z: Yeah.
HYDE: It’s sad that we won’t be able to eat Japanese food.
K.A.Z: Also, the shower doesn’t work that well sometimes.
HYDE: Yeah, sometimes it doesn’t drain well either. One time, all of it came out.
K.A.Z: All of what?
HYDE: All of the sewage came back up.
K.A.Z: Ahhh~…
(. . .Silence. . .)
K.A.Z:The water system…
HYDE: The water system…
K.A.Z: is weak.
HYDE: Yeah. Is there something you’re looking forward to?
K.A.Z: Umm, the place we’re going to is a bit on the countryside, so it might be nice to take walks, in the morning.
HYDE: Yeah. I hope we can make a good song.
K.A.Z: Yeah.
HYDE: Well, that’s pretty much why we’re going anyway. I hope you’re looking forward to it. Ne?
K.A.Z: Yes.

Such a natural and gentle fade in. Yes, I bet this how they begun, VAMPS. In this peaceful atmosphere, I felt once again their beginning moment.

About 4 months ago on March 22, 2008. In a certain city location, an audition was held in search for band members who would perform the 46 shows at “VAMPS TOUR 2008″ with them. This is a document story that records the activity of VAMPS. The first is this time, a moving moment where a quiet and calm, yet promising future could be felt.
